Marcela Quiroga Garza
Born in Monterrey, Mexico: 24 August 1970.
She is a Doctor in Creation and Culture Theories at the University of the Americas Puebla. Master in Arts by the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon and Bachelor of Arts by the same.
Her work has been recognized by various national and international institutions.
In June of 2016 she published her book “¿Cuál realidad? Eidted by the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León.
In 2014 Ph.D. James Elkins selected her work “¿Wich reality?” to be part of the book: Artist with Ph.Ds. Second Edition, edited by New Academia. In August 2015 he was awarded the 2015 Arts Award by Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. She has been a winner of the Financiarte program given by the Council for Culture and the Arts of Nuevo León, with the project Lines that (no) are fringes in August 2014.He obtained the first place in the VI International Biennial of University Art of the Universidad Autonoma del Estado de Mexico, in the Museum of Modern Art of Toluca, in November, 2013.He also received Honorable Mention for the state of Nuevo Leon at the X Monterrey Biennial FEMSA, at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Monterrey.
